I took this photo about 15 minutes after Jordan woke up from sedation. She had an MRI today — one of so many we’ve lost count. A few minutes later she was ready to go. She’s one of the most beautiful, courageous, and strong people I’ve ever known. I’m constantly inspired by her — and bewitched by her mettle.

My first day back to work. Time to suit up.

I restarted my morning routine on this last day of vacation. I set my alarm and started my day at 6am. Every morning, I take the dog for a walk after I’ve showered and fed her breakfast. This morning, a thick fog shrouded Santa Monica, making the walk a little eerie and very cool.

I shot this one as Gracie and I walked by the Lincoln Middle School yard. She paused just long enough for me to get my capture. Then she wanted to go home. I think she was spooked.
